About

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by!

I’m Yevette Gooden, a Christian writer who is passionate about the things of God.  Whether it is exploring the riches of the gospel from Christian authors or studying the bible for the deep things of God. My Christian journey is one of commitment.  Seeking God’s face with wisdom and understanding, but most importantly, seeking a closer walk with Christ.

Bible Study on a Deeper Level

For me, the Bible is more than a book; it is God’s word.  2 Timothy 3:16-17 reads, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,  so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”  True transformation occurs when we begin to move beyond the surface to read the deepness of scripture and study the literary themes of God’s word. On this website, I share insights, Bible study tools, and reflections to help you and me grow in our biblical understanding, all while applying it to our daily lives.

Deep Books by Christian Authors

As a retired library staff member who provided legal and reference services, I am completely aware of the power of the written word. Great Christian authors have a way of creating words to stir our hearts. Whether it is classic theology or current-day writers, I enjoy reading books that will challenge, convict, and encourage. On this website, I will be sharing reflections and current thoughts from some of today’s greatest Christian minds and those from the past.

Deep Christian Journaling

For me, journaling is more than simply writing—it’s a spiritual practice and a way that I speak to the Lord.  A practice that I have consistently held for 35+ years.  It’s a way to meditate on scripture and to pray.  A way to record personal insights and revelations. With the assistance of deeper journal prompts and personal experiences, I will encourage you to use deeper journaling as a way to experience deeper spiritual growth.  Helping you increase your relationship with God, your audience of one.
